  BOARDS

Boards for this new sport are not hard to get. Many guys have been using old tandem surfboards and then there are the custom boards as our gang has had built, which range in length for what they are used for, from 16ft paddleboard types to 10ft for hotdog surfing boards.

Probably the most innovative shaper of these boards is Dave Parmenter (Aleutian Juice/www.paddlesurfhawaii.com), Dave has been an avid Beachboy surfer for many years and he translates that knowledge into his progressive Beachboy Board designs. For more information on his boards, and Beachboy surfing in general, check out:

Other Shapers that are building progressive designs are Al Merrick (Channel Island Surfboards) and Bob Pearson (Arrow Surfboards). If you don't have time to get a custom board and for a quick and easy board you can get the "SURFTECH" Mickey Muñoz - Super Glide (www.surftech.com) It would be available at many Surfboard shops around the USA or it can be ordered.

Sean Ordonez is making some really cool shapes for www.surfingsports.com, and Jon Mel at Freeline Surf (www.freelinesurf.com) makes great SUP boards as well.
